Adobe Releases Update 26 of Digital Publishing Suite

Adobe has released an update of Digital Publishing Suite, and this release has some interesting new features. Some of the new capabilities include the ability to embed publications in Web sites, a free article preview on iPad, iPhone 5 support and PDF support for Android devices. The new release also has improved Web viewer analytics through Adobe Site Catalyst. more

 

Woodwing Releases Enterprise 8.2

WoodWing has announced the release of version 8.2 of its multi-channel publishing system Enterprise. The company says the new version simplifies direct placement of structured information from Excel files into InDesign layouts and improves integration with WoodWing´s digital asset management solution Elvis DAM. more

Medallion Media Group Releases e-Reader Book App

Medallion Media Group, Inc. (MMG), parent company of book publisher Medallion Press, has announced its free e-book reader iPad app, MMG Sidekick, app for iPad is available in the App Store. The e-book reader app lets users search for a specific Medallion Press book or browse by genre or author, view editorial reviews, and get personalized recommendations by opting in to the Notifications feature. Users can purchase selections from the Medallion Press e-book titles, but also includes a rotating selection of free e-books every month. more

International Publishers Association Endorses EPUB 3

The International Publishers Association (IPA) has endorsed EPUB3 as a preferred standard format for representing HTML and other Web content for distribution as single-file publications. The IPA recommends publishers unfamiliar with the standard learn more about it and consider the standard when planning digital publishing projects. more
